Elmo’s School Friends by PBS Kids

Help Elmo play with his school friends, while learning problem solving and emotional regulation skills, with this speech therapy resource for preschool and young students by PBS Kids.

• Timmy wants to play with blocks but they keep falling down and Timmy feels frustrated.
• Susie wants to do show and tell, but she trips and falls and is embarrassed.
• Jack and Jill want to play dress-up but they are angry with each other because they both want to wear the same costume.

Elmo gets three problem solving choices (e.g., “ask a grownup,” “make a plan,” help the friend “calm down” by counting to three or take a deep breath) to choose from in each story line.

Each scenario and possible solution helps kids learn how to manage emotions and how to employ problem solving strategies.
