Privacy Policy and Terms

How we handle your information, and the rules for using our tools.

Last updated: July 31, 2026

Speech Therapist Tools is run by AAA Internet Brands, LLC. This page is both our privacy policy and our terms of use, and it covers the whole site: the free worksheets, the AI tools, the newsletter, the ads, and the contact form. The first part explains how we handle your information. The Terms of Use further down cover the rules for using the tools.

What you give us

Your email, when you choose to share it. We ask for an email in a few places: to unlock the printable worksheet downloads, to send an AI-generated report from a tool, to subscribe to the newsletter, and on the contact form. You get the thing you asked for, and we add you to our newsletter list where the form says so. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.

What you type into the tools. Our tools save the details you enter so we can see which ones are actually useful and what people need. That means things like the topic and grade level you asked for questions about, the toy and age you asked for play ideas about, or the state and experience level you looked up salary data for.

The chronological age calculator does not store a date of birth. It works entirely in your browser, and we record only the calculated age it produced, such as “3 years, 6 months.” The child’s birthdate is never sent to us or saved anywhere.

What we collect automatically

Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages and tools get used. Microsoft Clarity also records anonymized session replays, meaning a playback of mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling on a page. This is how we find broken and confusing parts of the site. It is not linked to your name or email.

Approximate location. When you use a tool, we record the country, the state or region, and the timezone your connection resolves to. We do this to understand which regions use the site and whether usage follows the school year. We do not collect your city or coordinates, and we do not store your IP address.

Cookies

When you enter your email to unlock the worksheet downloads, we store a cookie called stt_dl so you do not have to type it again every time. It lasts one year, and clearing your browser cookies removes it. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies to measure traffic. Our advertising partners also set cookies to show and measure ads, which we explain in the Advertising section below. You can block or delete all of these in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

The AI tools

Tools like Speechy, the yes/no question generator, and Play & Grow send what you type to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate a response. Anthropic processes it to return the result. Please do not enter a child’s full name, a medical record, or anything else you would not want leaving your device.

Advertising

Part of what keeps this site free is advertising. Our ads are managed by Journey by Mediavine, and we may add or move to other advertising partners over time, including large networks such as Google and Meta.

However the ads are served, the picture is the same. Our advertising partners use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technology to show ads, measure whether they worked, and in many cases make them more relevant based on the pages you have visited. To do that they may collect things like your approximate location, your device and browser, and the pages you view here, and they may share a pseudonymous identifier with other ad companies through real-time bidding. Some of these partners are based in the United States.

We do not hand your email, or the details you type into our tools, to any advertiser. That information stays separate from the advertising.

You have real control over this:

  • If you are in the UK or EU, you are asked to consent before any non-essential advertising cookies load, and you can change your answer at any time.
  • You can turn off personalized ads through Google Ad Settings (myadcenter.google.com), the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info), the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), and, in Europe, Your Online Choices (youronlinechoices.eu).
  • If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law, you can opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. Send the request through our contact form and we will act on it.

Our current advertising partner keeps its own privacy policy at mediavine.com/privacy-policy/. If we change partners, we will update this page.

Who else handles your information

We keep this list short on purpose. We use Vercel for hosting, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for analytics, Anthropic’s Claude API for the AI tools, Journey by Mediavine to manage the ads, Resend to email ourselves when you submit a form, and our own self-hosted Listmonk and PocketBase servers to store newsletter subscribers and form submissions.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your email or what you type into our tools with advertisers. The site does show ads, and those advertising partners collect their own data, which we describe in the Advertising section above.

How long we keep it

Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Form and tool submissions are kept while they are useful for running and improving the site. Analytics data follows each provider’s own retention schedule. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link in it. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will. For advertising specifically, the Advertising section above lists the opt-out tools and your right to opt out of targeted ads. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to object to how we process your information and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Use the contact form and tell us what you want done.

Children

This site is built for adults: speech-language pathologists, teachers, and parents. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Our tools are designed so that information about a child stays minimal by default, which is why the age calculator records a calculated age rather than a birthdate. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Terms of Use

The sections below are the terms you agree to when you use Speech Therapist Tools, the Speechy assistant, and our other tools and apps.

Using our tools

Our tools, including the Chronological Age Calculator and the Speechy assistant, are here to help you create educational and developmental materials. They are for informational purposes only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they do not replace your own professional judgment or that of a qualified provider. Everything on the site is offered in good faith for general use, and we do not guarantee that it is complete, reliable, or accurate.

Intellectual property

Speechy and our other tools, including the software, databases, interfaces, and related materials, belong to AAA Internet Brands, LLC. You get a limited license to use them for their intended purpose under these terms.

AI-generated content

Anything our AI tools generate, whether text, images, or other media, is provided as is, and using it is at your own risk. AI output can occasionally overlap with existing copyrighted or proprietary work. AAA Internet Brands, LLC is not liable for how you use AI-generated content or for any claims that result from it.

Accounts and user content

Where we offer account creation, content uploads, or other submissions, using those features is at your own risk. We may remove or edit anything users submit, including tools, images, usernames, titles, descriptions, and categories, mainly to keep the site free of content that is offensive, infringing, or otherwise harmful. We may also change how submitted content is organized. When a change is significant, we will try to notify the people affected, though we cannot guarantee it.

Liability and indemnification

To the fullest extent allowed by law, AAA Internet Brands, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of Speechy or any tool on our sites. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AAA Internet Brands, LLC and its affiliates from any claim that arises out of your use of these tools.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest stays in effect.

Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it directly. If that does not work, the dispute may be settled through mediation or binding arbitration at our discretion.

Changes and acceptance

We may update this page as the site, our tools, or the law change, and we will update the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use Speech Therapist Tools or Speechy after a change means you accept the current version.

Contact

Questions about your information or about these terms, or a request about your own data, go through the contact form.
